Construction Services
Our post-contract services generally begin from when the cladding package has been awarded to a successful cladding contractor. Greene Façade Consulting can carry out pre and post-contract services under one appointment or these can be appointed separately as required. Our post-contract services can be tailored to suit any given project and can involve our support until project completion.
Subcontractor Technical Review
Our consultants can review subcontractor drawings, samples, thermal calculations, structural calculations, testing procedures and other technical submissions, providing the wider design team with detailed comment and status approval. We carefully audit the technical drawings to ensure they comply with the tender concept drawings and specifications. We also review the products and material submittals and samples, confirming that the client is receiving the value-based solutions as contractually agreed.
Testing
Ranging from the development of a test regime to the review of existing test evidence and full performance testing, we have amassed a wealth of knowledge relating to systems, materials and project testing both from the perspective of what to test and also how the results are to be interpreted. There are many possible anomalies that can occur during testing that would otherwise go undetected until a weathering or structural failure on a finished façade occurred. Our team carefully witness testing at an independent third-party testing facility and report on the results for the project record.
Supply Chain Inspection
We assess supply chain capabilities by visiting factories, reviewing built projects and interviewing current and previous clients. We have significant experience in assessing the production capabilities of factories and determining reasonable work loads for design, engineering and project management staff, helping to mitigate the client’s risk when awarding the project to specialist subcontractors and their supply chain partners. Having visited the factories of many UK & European façade subcontractors and material suppliers, we have the pre-requisite skills and experience to make a considered judgement about a potential supplier’s capability.
Site Installation Review
Our team is comprised of experienced managers and engineers that can review and report on quality control to insure that the installed systems will perform over the life of the building. Each project requires specific site quality measures that reflect the complexity of the project and the specifications that relate to local standards and norms. Our experience in due diligence work provides reliable assurances that manufactured and installed systems meet the specification, reducing risks and minimising possible issues.
