Our pre-contract services can begin at project inception or beyond and continue to main contract or cladding contract package tender, working directly for clients, developers, project managers, architects or other members of the project team.
Concept Design
Working closely with the architect and wider design team gives us an opportunity to continually interrogate the design rationale and to distil our thinking in order to clarify the developed solution. Ideas are explored and solutions created within our concept stage design workshops.
Greene Façade Consulting’s approach is based initially on free hand sketching as a method of exploring design options that can be subsequently developed through or 2D and 3D CAD design and project specific CAD concept drawings a part of a tender package.
System Design & Selection
Greene Façade Consulting has a wide ranging knowledge of commercial façade systems and products. We have extensive experience in full-scale testing requirements and applicable standards as well as technical performance analysis or individual materials and products. The development of bespoke and standard systems is a highly specialised discipline requiring in-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, methods of installation, as well as a commercial appreciation that enables a robust solution to be attained every time.
Building Envelope Performance
Using the latest in 2D & 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis techniques we can generate structural and thermal models of components, assemblies and systems.
During the early stages of the façade design, we develop preliminary calculations to address system choice, approximation of spanning members and the interaction between the primary structure and façade.
Material & Envelope Fabric Selection
We have gained extensive experience in cladding of all types including rainscreen cladding, composite cladding and bespoke curtain walling systems. We’ve also got experience in many different materials used in the cladding of buildings including glass, stone, aluminium, steel, stainless steel, ceramics, timber and many more.
